Enjoy a full day excursion with a professional English-speaking guide to visit Corcovado and Sugarloaf. After being picked up from your hotel, you head to the Cosme Velho district. Board the traditional cog-wheel train and enjoy the ride through the Tijuca rainforest up to the 125 foot-tall (38 meter) iconic Christ Redeemer Statue.
The impressive statue hosts one of the best views of the city.Continue your tour to downtown Rio where you'll pass by the infamous Sambadrome, the exhibition area for the renowned Samba schools during Carnival. Continue through the city to see the Metropolitan Cathedral, made famous for its unusual pyramid shape, the traditional Cinelandia Square where you'll find various historic buildings such as the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts.
Enjoy lunch (NOT included) at a typical Brazilian BBQ restaurant. After lunch head towards the Urca neighborhood, to visit one of Rio's most iconic symbols, Sugar Loaf Mountain. Traveling on a cable car, you'll first stop on Urca Hill at 660 feet (220 meters) above sea level to capture panoramic views of the city, Guanabara Bay, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Mountain.
Ascend on a second cable car to reach the Sugar Loaf summit for breathtaking views of Copacabana Beach, the Santa Cruz Fortress and the beaches of Niteroi.
